1. Mission: Storehouse Voices aims to bridge the representation gap of authors of color in the publishing industry by promoting the richness of Black storytelling.
2. Leadership: The imprint is led by Publisher Tamira Chapman, Associate Publisher Porscha Burke, Editorial Director Jennifer Baker, and Executive Editor Chelcee Johns, all bringing extensive experience in publishing and a commitment to diversity.
3. Origins: The imprint was developed following the success of the "Women & Words" program, which connected aspiring Black female authors with literary agents, highlighting the need for more inclusive publishing opportunities.
4. Publishing Focus: Storehouse Voices will publish both fiction and nonfiction titles, showcasing the diversity of Black storytelling and ensuring that literary works by underrepresented authors are presented authentically and impactfully.
5. Community Engagement: The imprint includes a community-based author incubator program, offering a supportive space for emerging authors to showcase their work, receive feedback, and connect with literary agents and readers.

7. Initial Authors: The imprint has signed book deals with authors such as Cheryl Polote-Williamson (inspirational nonfiction), Nia Gilliam (memoir), Marie Sutton (biography/memoir), Temple Day Smith ... ), and Michael A. Tins ... ), reflecting a commitment to diverse genres and voices.
8. Future Goals: Storehouse Voices aims to publish its first titles beginning Fall 2025 and hopes to ramp up to 18 titles per year by 2028, with a focus on narrative nonfiction and fiction.
